My wifes iPad 1 Home Button is intermittently not responding when pushed. At times it would take over 10 pushes before it would react. As of now it is back to normal. I was going to schedule a session with the genius bar but without it happening it would be hard to prove its broken.

Any thoughts? I was thinking of trying to do a restore and see if maybe its a software latency or something. It hasn't been restored since I purchased it; wife can't live without it.

I had that problem for a while. It came and went and came and went and then never happened again. Restoring wasn't the answer but I never did find the cause.

I would still like to do a restore just to clean it up a bit. It hasn't been restored for about a year. I was going to get the Applecare on it but the wifey is starting to glance at the iPad 2. Maybe Santa will bring it to her. ;)

Thanks for the reply. I'll keep my eye on it.
