I can't use any AMOLED device due to PWM and temporal dithering. But I'm completely fine with LCD/IPS screens (TV's, phones, computer monitors, laptops, tablets). The only exception seems to be iPad 10th generation.

More than asking for the best options to reduce eyestrain (disable this, reduce that, etc), I would like to understand why this happens only on iPad. Is it a software thing?

PS: My eyes are burning right now after 15 minutes of usage. I can use my Android tablet for hours with no problems.

Are you sure that you haven’t tried using the A16 iPad or is it just this one

Maybe it’s the color gamut… or more blacks.. or your experiencing some sort of PWM hidden in plain sight when you look at the 10th generations screen

Well. I ended up returning. I don't think there's a magic configuration that makes something that is unpleasant to the eyes, comfortable to the eyes. Either it works or not. After 3 weeks using iPad 10th generation I gave up and returned it. I went back to my (no longer receives updates) Xiaomi Pad 5, and my eyes problems are gone. I know there are more recent Android tablets out there but I really wanted an apple device. And having a non OLED screen was the only way to have it.
