Hello, I noticed that the iPad 11 is priced at 409 euros in France, while the iPad 10 can be found on French retail sites for 249 euros (used, with one year of warranty). While I occasionally play games, I mostly enjoy features that support multitasking. Without waiting for the iPad 12, do you think it would be better to opt for the latest model, or would the iPad 10 be sufficient for my needs?

I primarily use YouTube, Chrome, Procreate, and video streaming apps.

Thank you for your advice!

One thing to keep in mind, the iPad 10 comes with 64GB base storage vs the iPad 11 that comes with 128GB base storage. Personally, I would go for the iPad 11. But the iPad 10 could probably be OK. My students use the iPad 10 all the time. . . . it does get a little rough on some websites though.

Thank you so much for your reply! I’m not too concerned about the storage, but what you mentioned regarding the issues on some websites sealed the deal for me. It’s likely to keep declining from there, and I don’t want it to slow down… Thanks!

I would recommend iPad 11 for that 6GB RAM. iPad 10 has the same 4GB as iPad Air 4. And my iPad Air always crashes when opening Twitter in Safari while playing YouTube in PiP mode. 4GB RAM may facing issues now.

Having only 64GB of storage on the 10th gen iPad will quickly frustrate you. Trust me, I had nothing but troubles as the OS eats a large portion of that 64GB. I parted with my 64GB 5th generation iPad Air for that same reason.

No one should be buying an iPad 10 at this point unless opting for the Cellular model, and eSim options are dire in their country (as the iPad 10 is the last to offer a physical sim slot.)

Buying the previous model at a discount is sometimes the better buy, but considering the overdue update by base iPad standards, that doesn’t apply in this case. The iPad 10 uses a 2020 processor, whereas the iPad 11’s A16 is from 2022 (so 2.5 years old instead of 4.5.)
