So I worked from home 3 days a week and go into the office for two. Been testing out the IPAD 11 pro m5 and the IPAD 13 m4. Both with the ESR keyboard cases.

In my office I have a Mac mini which is fine. I still need to be productive when in the physical office, office apps, browser, email etc. I have been playing around with external monitors and just am not a fan of the implementation with IPadOS 26. This pushes me to rule out the 11 inch model.

So with the 13. I think I can get by even without an external monitor. I love the OLED screen. Also I can use the device on airplanes easier than the MacBook Air.

Do I go 13 inch iPad or just keep the MacBook Air m4 13? I guess I’m just worried a little about being limited in the physical office.

Thoughts?

I see no reason to give up the 13” provided you can get your work done on the iPad. And if you have the cellular model, you can truly have a mobile computer that is great to use and a lot easier to transport and use mobile that the M4 Air.

I have an M4 iMac, M4 Mac mini, M4 MBA 13”, and an M5 13” iPad Nano. I go mobile with the iPad versus the MBA and haven’t thought to myself, I need the MBA.

In my opinion, the iPad Pro is the best of both worlds (casual use consumption and general work).

it truly depends on what kind of work you do on Mac or iPad. For general writing, emails and so on iPad is fine. For more complicated tasks, choose Macbook
