Hi All

I picked up an iPad (1st gen, wifi only)which has been used from the bay. I got it today and loaded it up to itunes and got this notice from itunes

"There is a problem with your ipad
We're sorry, the ipad you connected may be damaged and cannot be activated for service. We recommend you visit your nearest Apple store for more information"

the ipad itself is on the ios5 start screen and says verification failed.

Can anyone please help me remedy this problem? I do not want to poke around with the DFU mode just yet because I know that might mess it up further.

Thanks in advance!

If you're not prepared to put it into DFU mode then you need to do what iTunes says and take it to Apple

Ended up being that itunes had an overload due to "valentines day activations"

I got the problem sorted, but it was just weird because I never saw that before.
