I am getting an iPad for my birthday and am wondering if 16GB will be enough. I'd say that I'm a light user and would use the iPad for mainly surfing the internet, having a few game apps (Not big games, games like Angry Birds), more social apps than anything and I'd stream movies from YouTube or another app if need be, the same with music, I'd find an app to stream it from. I don't see the need in putting music or movies on there. If I needed music I'd put it on my HTC Sensation.
So, I'm just wondering if I use it a lot for the things I said I was going to do will 16GB be enough? :)
Thanks in advance.

Also will streaming movies/videos and music take up the GB's?

should be fine. the only reason i fill up my 16gb fast is big games.

enjoy :)

iOS 6 make take up more space than iOS 5 did, but I doubt it will be a noticeable difference. I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks.
I don't even think 32GB iPad 2's exist anymore. So I've been told. Can't find them in any shops. (In Australia) So I have no choice than to get the 16GB, it should do me fine :)

I like to leave the gaming for my PC :p

Would still love to see what others think :)

thats what i used to think too :p but slowly found my self playing more and more games on my ipad. some games on my pc, i actually prefer on my ipad. world of goo, machinarium, etc

ah man, that stinks. solves that problem ;)

Get a 32gb. Trust me. I had an iPad 1 16gb, skipped the 2 and went to the 3 - 32GB. I filled up my 16gb quick. One of the things I used it for was travel and I would put movies on it for the flight/ layovers and such. For the extra few $ you might as well

Yeah but the OP said he's more into surfing the web and an occasional game like Angry Birds. That doesn't take up a lot of space. OTOH you can get a 32GB refurb for the same price of a 16GB.

I'd rather not get a refurbished one XD

I wouldn't be traveling nor putting movies on my iPad, I don't see the need. Plus it's an extra 100-150 that I just don't have.
Plus the 32GB ones don't exist here anymore I just found out :/

Exactly, I have an iPad 2 refurb and it looks like new. Also if the OP's iPad 2 breaks and needs to be replaced he'll get a refurb.
