Same here - also reversed. My husband was fine with it as long as gets a 'golf whenever he wants to' hall pass.
It was actually the opposite at my house. My wife had been telling me I couldn't have a tablet (I'd actually been holding out for a decent Android tablet), then I showed her the Apple keynote from the iPad 2 launch and her first question to me after watching it was "Should we buy 2 or just 1?"
On Sunday she made me drive to Target and the Apple Store (just to be sure) even though I told her they were all sold out.
