iPad 2 back panel repair

Just recently I dropped my iPad 2 and the aluminam back is dameged. I want to know if there are Any repair stores to fix this or if I can do it myself and repair it. I contacted applecare and they said it Would be 250$. Is there any cheaper way to do this.

Apple will just be giving you a refurbished iPad in trade for the one you dropped. We have no way of knowing how competent you are in performing repairs such as this. I would guess not. I would recommend watching a video on how to open and take apart an iPad 2.

I just had a back panel and front glass of my iPad from iResQ and they did a good job. You might want to contact them and see if they have any discounts. You might not be able to take it to Apple after that.

Okay I'll keep looking around for a cheeper replacement panel and when I called apple they said they couldn't give me a refurbished model because the iPad still worked and it was just physical damage.

Sell it for $250 then buy new ipad.
