Anyone think the iPad 2 battery's a few hours shorter than the first iPad?

I'm not complaining , I still think the battery is solid and lasts much longer than my laptop but I would venture to say that it probably lasts a few hours short of the first iPad when I used to have it. :apple:

I agree OP. From the first day it really seems like I am not getting the battery time my first generation did. I figured the placebo effect would convince me otherwise since I had read the Engadget review before buying, which clearly stated improved battery life.

Unfortunately I never did any measurable tests so it is nothing more than a disappointed feeling. That being said, I am still very happy with its battery performance compared to any laptop I have ever owned.

I'm concerned. My iPad 2 is draining very quickly, much faster than my ipad1. I'm not even doing anything demanding. (I have both here, so the difference is obvious.)

Is this a widespread issue?

Are you guys on JB? I mean the ones that have poor battery life? If yes then maybe this is the problem? If you're on iOS 5.0 this might also be the problem as this version doesn't have the batt life as 4.3.3 for example.

Im getting the same battery life on my jailbroken iPad 2 than I did before I jailbroke it.

I didn't have an original iPad but my iPad2 battery lasts well over 10 hours with serious movie watching, web surfing and emailing...I couldn't be happier with the battery life
