Ipad 2 @ Best Buy on March 11???

The Best Buy website says the Ipad 2 will be available at their store on March 11, 2011. Is this true? Has anyone heard the same?:confused:
 
Wait...so Best Buy's own website says it's coming March 11th...and you want' further confirmation? How much more confirmation could you get? :confused:
 
If they say for sure that they're going to get it, they probably will. If you want to be sure though, you might as well buy from apple instead.
 
Well that's assuming there is an Apple store nearby. If your choice is BestBuy or ordering online I'd go to BB and get some reward points on it and have it to take home instead of waiting for delivery the next week. If Best Buy pulls a fast one like they did last year and doesn't order any 16GB models then I'm ordering online that night.

Sweet. Was thinking about ordering online but with both the Apple Store and Best Buy selling it, I don't think it will be a problem picking one up in person and not waiting till the following week for UPS to deliver it.

Apple store will be selling iPad starting 5PM. So, what does that say about BB...?

Most best buy stores open up around 9am-10 am.

Does this mean best buy will be selling this on 9-10 am or will sell it on 5PM like apple store?

CONFUSING! CLARIFICATION PLEASE!
 
Was in best buy today and they said that it will be in the store on the 11th.

Well it says "stay tuned for more details" so I guess we'll find out soon :)
 
FWIW BB sold the original iPad on both launch days. Their supply was limited to say the least. Most stores got 5 to 10 3G units... and not of each model, total units.

I was still able to buy 3 of them on launch day and waited in line maybe 20 minutes. I don't think this time will be as bad.
 
What do you guys think about buying one from an apple store or BB on Saturday the 12th. I don't get off work till eight on Friday and my closest best buy is an hour away and my closest Apple store is three and a half. Should I just order one and wait another week or risk it and try the BB stores? What about Target?
 
Dang where do you people live? :p I can't even imagine it...I've got three Best Buys within 15 minutes of me and three Apple Stores within 25 minutes.
 
This is great news. The Apple Store in RI is in the Providence Place Mall which is all about bad parking and punk kids on a Friday night. Best Buy whenever they go on sale is better. That is 2 mins from the office.

When I bought my iPad at Best Buy, I got a voucher in the morning.

Had to come back after 5:00 to pick it up.
 
I just left Best Buy and they said the iPad SHIPS on the 11th. They should have it 19th 20th timeframe.

Yes, clarification. I see everyone finding out its arriving 11th, but what time can it be bought? Anyone asked BestBuy?
 
Best Buy Stock

I was looking at what Best Buy has entered in its website so far. I just saw the black models, all of them except for the 16gb 3g + wifi, though they had the the ipad 2 wifi 16gb model.


Anybody know if they will have the white model

along with the 3g 16gb ipad 2

Not trying to be rude to you, but your Best Buy has no idea what they are talking about.

All apple devices are drop shipped to stores via UPS. If apple wants Best Buys to have them on launch day they will. The problem with that is that their internal inventory system will not show them when they will arrive or how many they will get.

At this point any info BB gives out is a guess, they may be able to find out number of units coming some time mid next week at best.
