Ipad 2 bezel bleeding replacment

My iPad 2 has bezel bleeding and I am going to the Apple store to exchange it. My question is, are the replacement iPad 2's brand new or refurbished?

Should I go with Genius replacment or full exhange for a brand new one?

the iPad 2 just came out friday.. they are of course brand new.

The Geniuses had no replacement iPad 2s when I was in there to get my defective iPad 2 replaced. They said it would be weeks. That sucked, so I just returned it and placed an order online. I have an iPad 1, so I will somehow muster the courage to wake up each day and continue on with life...
