Bought this one at a Best Buy in New Orleans, an hour from my house (the best buy in my area doesn't carry 3G ones). I have 7 days left to return it to get my money back. But a week from now they still won't have an iPad 2 available to replace this one with.

Should I go to Apple to get it fixed? Should I just return it for the refund and just wait for more to come in, knowing that it'll be a long time before these things are not sold out every day?

What would you do in this situation?

Take it to apple they usually have replacements on the spot even though they are selling out they keep a certain amount for replacements.

You have a year of warranty support. Just enjoy your iPad 2 with headphones until a local Apple store has replacements on hand, then do a same-day swap. That way you won't have to wait with nothing until new ones come in.

I'm guessing it will be a few weeks until supplies stabilize enough that Apple stores can maintain some spares in the back.

Take it to Apple and have them replace it on the spot. If they are out of stock, maybe you could talk your way into a free smart cover for your hassle??

Yea, I've had iPad 1 wifi only, and iPad 1 wifi + 3G, never heard of an issue of a speaker blowing.

Was searching for a song on Youtube, found the song, only to have it be a distorted, extremely loud version of it. Since then there has been that static, distorted noise in everything I do.

Tuesdays my day off, heading to the Apple Store in New Orleans to fix this problem. Hopefully they can swap it out on the spot.
