I have an iPad 2 that my friend left on the charger to charge. She came back to power it back on and its stuck at a blue screen. She is asking me for help so I tried to hold the home and power button at the same time to put it in DFU mode but I couldn't get that to work. I then tried DFU mode and connecting to a Mac or PC and still no luck. How can I fix this for her?

Wow, sorry about this OP. I had this happen to an OG iPad 1 of mine, and just had it replaced by Apple. Sounds like a disk-mount issue to me, although I could be wrong. That's usually what it could be if DFU mode won't activate. I would assume the iPad 2 is out of warranty, too?
