yes, you can. Btw. most of the keyboard short cuts known from macOS will work.

the iPad 2 supports Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR technology - which is the restricting factor. But this Logitech Ultrathin keyboard will work.

I used iPad 2 with Apple’s Bluetooth magic keyboard (version 1). It work flawlessly.

Brand new sealed box for £15...
I have the FULL Lost Treasures of Infocom (27 classic text games), which only works up to ios9.
The screen keyboard covers half the display, so this is perfect.
