After upgrading all of my purchased iTunes movies to 1080p, they now no longer show up under the Videos app on home sharing on my iPad 2. Can the iPad 2 not playback 1080 videos? I have one purchased movie from iTunes that's still in 720p format and it does show up under the Shared tab in the Videos app. Ideas?

The iPad 2 CAN play back 1080.

But you will only see the benefit if you use the HDMI cable to output it to a HDTV.

Yeah and I now see where iTunes will not let me sync 1080 movies to my iPad 2 either. I was hoping to unload all of the SD versions of my movies to save space, but I may need to keep them now.

I synced and played 1080p movies recently from my itunes library to my iPad 2 (converted with handbrake high profile setting) with no issues.
The 1080p movies disappeared from Home sharing though on the iPad2.
I think it's a bug with the home sharing.

As a test, I just changed my 1080p movie metadata from 1080p to 720p using metax for Windows and now my iPad2 sees my 1080p movie via homesharing. Definately a bug with the 1080p metadata stamp to the file.
