iPad 2 inspiration MacBook Pro's screen?!

I was sitting at my 2011 MacBook Pro last night syncing my new iPad 2 when I realized something... might just be me but it seems like the construction and design of the iPad 2 is very very similar to the screen/bezel assembly on unibody alum. MacBook Pros (minus the raised rubber where in the iPad 2 it's flush poly)! Is it just me? Think there was a moment of inspiration where Jonathan I've was sitting at his MacBook and thought... "i've got it!"?
