iPad iPad 2 iOS 5.1 vs iOS 7.1

Hello. Due bad experiences updating devices as the iPhone 3g, i have keep the factory iOS in all my devices.

anyway, i have doubts to update my iPad 2 with iOS 5.1 to iOS 7.1. My tablet is super fast, though in the last few months, when i'm browsering, i have been suffering a lot sudden exits of the safari. ¿Is this worst in 7.1?

¿What do you recommend me to do? Thanks.

My advice is if 5.1.1 is working great and you have NO reason to upgrade then leave it on iOS 5. It's probably worth more on Ebay.

I have an iPad 2 I upgraded to iOS 7.1.2 and it runs OK for the most part but animation transitions are hit an miss. Some are smooth transitions and others are not. Safari seems to be less crash prone in iOS 5.

I have an iPad 3 on iOS 5.1.1 that will not get upgraded. It's your call but if I had to do over I would have stayed on iOS 5.
