I am a teacher and I was considering getting an iPad to use in my classroom and wanted to mirror it with the projector in my room. I know the original iPad could only display certain apps through the VGA adapter.

Can the iPad 2 mirror completely with the VGA adapter?

If not I would try and use the HDMI adapter but could then I use another adapter to convert that to VGA to be compatible with my projector?

Any answers you guys could give me would be awesome thanks.

Directly from Apples site:
Video mirroring and video out support: Up to 1080p with Apple Digital AV Adapter or Apple VGA Adapter (cables sold separately)

So yes it does work via VGA. Therefore as a teacher your investment in an iPad 2 over first one is well worth it.
