i love the iPad4's screen but I am glad i kept my ipad2, it is far more reliable with wifi and bluetooth connections. Right now, trying to stream something from my MacBook Air via wifi on the ipad4, it can't find the Air but the ipad2 finds it immediately.

Why is ipad4 (and sometimes iphone 5) less reliable than the rock solid ipad2?

it does connect eventually but takes forever, whereas the ipad2 connects as soon as VLC is open on both the Air and itself. anyone else having issues with this, very slow to connect via wifi or bluetooth?

I definately see what you mean in your case anyway. My ip2 is a rock. It just works. Always has from day 1. My ip3 was shakey for a while. I brought it back for a couple of replacement refurbs. finally it seems i have one that has wifi antenna corrections that work. Apple took em back as " hardware issues " . Anyone's guess just exactly what the wifi antenna were lacking. Proper placement, size, thickness. I have no idea so I shouldn't even guess like this but this one is working flawlessly for months now. I really enjoy Apples ipad. I had an Asus infinity with keyboard fr about 4 days ,then brought it back for refund. Good build quality but you can have android os .i don't want it. The real thing in this platform is an ipad. Everything else in a tablet seems knock off to me.
