And when you say "reset" do you mean you turned it off then back on, you held the power and home button for 10 seconds, or you did a complete restore?

Yes sending pics from iMessage and I just turn it off from the top button. Not really a soft reset.
Try holding down the power button and home button to do a hard reset, see if that fixes the problem.
Does the photo just fail to send, or does it send but the other person doesn't receive it? Can you send regular iMessages?
