Hey Apple Bros and Gals,
I just got my new iMac (2011 w/SSD) and I'm looking to get my iPad 2 connected to iTunes in order to get everything synced. It brings up the pesky message every time asking me to erase.

I know I'm probably asking a common 'noob' question here, so can you guys point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

Yep, if you move from one mac to another, without bringing over your itunes library with it (iTunes folder in your Music folder) then you have to erase it to sync.

What he said. You just have to copy over your old library to your new iMac. Once you've done that open iTunes, but hold down the option key while it's opening. It will ask you to pick a location for your library, choose where you just copied your old library to. Viola! Sync should work just fine.

Don't forgot to authorise your new iMac under Store at the top menu. Otherwise it will delete all your apps.
If you're not MobileMe member, remember to Sync your Address Book, iCal, Notes and Bookmarks back to your Mac.
