iPad 2 overseas - how to?

Okay, I know I can take the AT&T iPad 2 and use it in other GSM countries by popping in a local micro-sim card. My question is where do I find this card and what should I expect to pay for data? Is there a month-to-month contract like in the states? I want to go to the UK, France, and then Italy. Thanks for your help or pointing me in the right direction!

For the UK, pick up a "Three" pay as you go micro sim.

Go to that countries local cell shop and see what they have to offer...
Most plans like that are month to month and are priced around the same as ours.
