Hi,

I have just received my new replacement iPad via AppleCare and thank god it has no light-bleed!

However, looking at the device and feeling the headphone jack area feels very different to my first iPad 2...

The black surronding rim of the headphone jack seems to now stick out 1-2mm and isnt flush to the curve of the iPad? Is this normal, how is everyone elses iPad headphone jack ports?

Mines brand new as well. It was a replacement for one that got dropped. The headphone jack is not flush. Works fine. Im pretty sure it's normal.

I got an in store replacement last weekend and the headphone jack is totally flush. (The screen is a big improvement over the last one too). It's probably another of the many manufacturing faults the iPad 2 has. I liken the production to Big Macs, or other mass produced "things"... No two are ever the same....
