I have had my iPad 2 for a couple of weeks and am loving it!! I purchased a Switch-Easy Canvas cover which is perfect for protecting the entire iPad 2. The only problem with it so far is that if you want to switch to portrait mode, it is kind of a pain. If only the writers of apps would allow their apps to switch btwn portrait and landscape the problem goes away.

Has anyone had any experience with a rotating case? I noticed that Targus makes one.

I would appreciate if someone has a rotating case if they would post a review of it.

Thanks

I had the Targus 360 and took it back to get the Switcheasy Canvas...very similar in form and function except the Targus will obviously rotate. I just never had a need to rotate it to portrait in the stand position. If I need portrait it was usually while I would prefer to be holding it in hand. To gain the rotating feature youll add a little thickness, and the Targus doesnt have the sleep/wake function, otherwise it would be my next favorite behind the SE Canvas.

I'm in the same boat. Was going to get the Switcheasy Canvas but would like a portrait mode for books and video conference without having to hold it. One of the angles supported should be 45 degree which helps alleviate my neck strain and the other a low one for typing.

The Cygnett Rotating Armour and Blurex BLX-RT360RD (on Amazon) seem similar to the Targus 360 but both do have the sleep/wake. No low angle for typing.

AYL 360 listed on Amazon doesn't seem to have the sleep/wake nor the low typing angle.

Waiting for the Joy Folio360 II but looking @the YouTube marketing video, it doesn't seem to be stable while pressing on the iPad in the more upright positions. Notice how he holds the iPad with his left hand while pressing with his right. In the low typing angle, the case jumps when he's touching the upper half of the iPad. Will still wait for it as this seems the best option out there.

Found 2 more portrait cases.

The Javoedge actually seems nice but with weird colors. Their video for the 1st iPad shows the lowest angle to low enough for typing. But their ver for iPad 2 doesn't seem to support sleep/wake. :(

Tuff-luv has several price points but with the same design. It supports several landscapes including a 30 degree but only 1 portrait at 75 deg. They do support the sleep/wake but according to an Amazon review, folding the cover back all the way causes sleep issues.

Just saw a review on the ipad 1 powis icase but the newer ver has sleep according to a recent thread here.

Has 2 portrait modes but you'll need a wide tabletop since the cover is folded to the side instead of to the back in order to use the stand.

The low typing angle seems very stable.

Wonder what the weight is.

It's going to come down to this or the Joy Factory Folio360 II.
