ipad 2 - running apps off the sd card?

I just got the camera connection kit for my ipad 2. First of all, what is the best app to use for looking at/transferring files from the card?

Also, can I run or transfer apps off it (with or without jb)? I'm assuming I can't without jb, but if the jailbreak comes out, is there a way to do it?
