Ipad 2 screen won't flip!

All of a sudden my screen won't flip! I have switched the button to flip and nothing happens. Does anyone know how to fix it? Thank you so much for your help!

Perhaps the side switch got set to mute?

Double tap your home button.....place your left finger on the icons at bottom and scroll all the way to the left.

You will see an icon with a padlock in the middle, tap it and ypur ipad will screen flip once again.
