I purchased an iPad 2 in June 2011, with the black leather smart cover.

I ordered an iPad Retina a little while ago and and Googled as to whether the iPad smart cover I had already spent £50 on would work. I read that it wouldn't, due to an inversion in the polarity of the magnets on the sleep function.

However, it arrived today and the smart cover seems to work fine. It attaches; and the iPad sleeps/wakes as normal.

Just wanted to check if I was missing a point, but mine seems to work fine?
