iPad iPad 2 updating

Hello, I'd like to know if i update my iPad 2 16gb Version 4.3.5 (8L1) (non-jailbroken) i play a lot of games on there like Slotomania and such i dont want to lose any data that was there like achievements, gold, high levels. My question is if i update it to the newest version will the data all be lost? Thank u in advance for your replies. Forgive me if this is the wrong section to post.

Do you mean update iOS or the actual iPad?

If you are referring to iOS then no your data will remain intact. If however you intending to buy a new iPad you will need to backup your existing iPad 2 and restore to the new iPad using iTunes and a computer (no iCloud on iOS 4).

When you upgrade (to a new iOS version) or a new iPad itself, you can backup everything and restore to the new ipad or new software.

Connect to itunes, show the sidebar, right click ipad and backup.
