iPad 2 video chat lag (yahoo & vtok)

I tried video chatting with Yahoo Messenger and Vtok and they both start off initially smooth but they get increasingly laggy, pixelated and choppy after few minutes. My girlfriend is on a PC on the other end and I'm using my home wifi. But when we chat with my MacBook Pro using google video, it runs fine. Has anybody else been seeing this problem with these apps? Does it sound like an issue with my iPad itself or something else?

iPad using VTok

When I first used VTok the unit work fine. Then the video froze and from that point I cannot video chat at all. VTok opens and I can see who is online but I can only chat with them - no voice or video.

I don't have the same problem. My thing is very clear. Is it your internet connection? I have a 10mb/sec plan and usually stream my content at over 2mbps.
