Every new feature except Siri and voice-guided directions (you still get turn-by-turn and 3D, just no voice).

(Passbook isn't on any iPad model so you don't get that either.)

Do you guys think it's worth upgrading to IOS6 if I'm on 5.1.1.

There is really no reason not to.
It also feels a bit faster on my iPad 2, no more 'lag'.

Also native clock, finally! :)

My ipad 2 is snappier, and has more features, w/ ios 6....so why not.

Any problems with updated apps? I haven't updated anything, but have seven app update notifications. When I read the reviews by folks who have updated those apps, they are all negative. Especially the ones based on maps.

Ordered an iPod Touch 5. Since that will have iOS 6 installed, think I'll wait till it gets here and decide about my iPad 2 then.

Don't do it if you're still on Leopard...

...you can't sync via iTunes because it doesn't support the latest version. So now I'm b*ggered!

No problems to Speak of

That's kind of funny, even windows xp still supports iTunes 10.7, and it was released 6 years earlier......and was made by Microsoft.

How did you get voice? Is there a setting I'm missing?

It just works when I use Navigation. Are you saying others (or at least you) are not getting voice turn by turn on the iPad 2? Did a quick search and all seems to indicate turn by turn/Flyover Maps on the iPad 2.

I stand corrected...

In Leopard 10.5.8, when you do a software update, the latest version of iTunes it shows is 10.6.1. To use iOS6 with Leopard, you need iTunes 10.6.3. So although you can't upgrade any higher using software update, you CAN download a version of it from the Apple website so all is well. Now if only the maps app worked ok...

You could of upgraded directly on your iPad without the need of iTunes.

well unforunately...

My original 64gb iPad can not update with the new iOS. Which is fine because as long as my iPad runs great and still has a great battery life there is no purpose to get rid of it.

After all my future iPhone 5 will have it so it is all good.
