iPad 2 with a gift card online

I was given a gift card for an iPad2 and have stood in 3 different lines now at Apple only to go away empty handed. Is it possible to order one online with my gift card and then cancel it if my local store gets one sooner? I'm not sure how that works while using a gift card?

Yes you can. I actually called and had mine applied after the fact.
