iPad 2 with iOS6 no longer wakes from external keyboard

So, with ios5, the "wake" key on my zaggfolio keyboard would pop the iPad directly to the home screen. Now, same button, same iPad pulls me to the "slide to unlock screen".

Anyone else notice this?
