iPad 2 won't restore from iPad 1. Another way?

My iPad 1 is fully backed up and I have the option in iTunes to Restore from Backup from my iPad 1 backup.

My iPad 2 only has iPhone 4 to restore from. What gives?

Is there another way to transfer my bookmarks from my iPad 1 to my iPad 2? How about game saves and stored data?

I've attempted to migrate the backup folder from the iPad 1 into the iPad 2's backup folder. While it gave me the option to restore from "Unknown" it didn't really do anything.

A friend had the same problem, it turns out he didn't have the latest iTunes version. Update that and your old backup should appear in the list.

That is the issue. If you don't have the latest iTunes, it sees the iPad 2 as an iPhone and doesn't list any iPad backups
