With all the information we "know" about the upcoming iPad, retina display, A5X chip, etc., do you think Apple will call it an iPad 2S or 3? Please vote.

iPad 2S or 3?

Not to troll, but why does it matter? You can't predict the name of the product, but I see it coming out as the iPad 3. And will the name affect your decision to buy it or not.
Correct me if i'm wrong but I think that among those you mentioned, the Retina Display is the only one that is "around 90%" sure.
The rest are like 50% and below.
I think it may be possible that Apple releases a slightly tweaked iPad 2S AND an iPad 3. The reasoning:
Keep the iPad 2 as a lower cost alternative to combat the cheap Android 'competition'. The leaked logic board is actually a slightly upgraded iPad 2 part.
The 'standard' A5 is built at 45nm... maybe they just tweaked this design a little have gotten it down to 32nm or something similar. More CPUs on one wafer would also bring down the costs slightly.
We have not yet seen the iPad 3's logic board with its A6, that will enable it to drive the new Retina Display without hiccups.
So to sum up: They release a slightly tweaked iPad 2S (same display, same general specs, but cheaper) + iPad 3 (quad core A6, Retina Display, ).
I am in no way saying that this is very likely to happen. But considering the possible routes Apple could take... I would say it is definitely in the realms of possibility.

Would an A6 really be a requirement to run the Retina Display? I admit I know next to nothing about how processors work...
I used to think it would be an iPad 2S. But after looking at all the recent leaks, its looking more like an iPad 3.
What does it matter if its called 3 or 2S? Apple could call it iPad TentacleGrape and at the end of the day, it'll be the same exact iPad with the retina display and better cameras.

But seriously a 3. Only way it would be 2S is if the retina doesn't make it. But with all the rumours, even if Apple thought about just having a speed bump, think they will be forced to give us the screen now :O)

Not that apple always listens to reviews or their customers but they are fully aware that people didn't like iPhone 4s. I think 3.
