Any word on third-party sellers like Walmart/Target/Best Buy etc. selling on release date? I didn't recall seeing anything in the keynote.

Any word on third-party sellers like Walmart/Target/Best Buy etc. selling on release date? I didn't recall seeing anything in the keynote.

I don't know about the big box stores. They may not know until next week, or even until they show up on pallets on the docks.

I do know Amazon doesn't seem interested in selling them, a search on "iPad" still returns their "Compare iPad vs. Kindle Fire" page as the first result.

Doubtful. They are still selling the iPad 2 for full price.
