iPad iPad 3 and iPad 4 for brightness difference

I was wondering if anyone could help. Me and my brother are both having a play around with our iPads. He has an ipad 3. I have an ipad 4. And we was looking at the brightness levels. The ipad 3 seems to be a bit brighter. And a different shade colour than the ipad 4. I was just wondering if this is the norm. Any help would be much appreciated

Not sure about the difference between iPad 3 and iPad 4.
My friend has an iPad 4 and I own an iPad Mini. except the size, we do not find much difference between them.
