So, like a lot of people, I was kinda disappointed with the announcement of the iPad 4, since it seems to be what the iPad 3 should have been. Either way, nothing I can do, my iPad is great for me, and I probably will update it in a year or so, since I've only had my current iPad 3 for two months.

ANYWAY, on to my questions.

Am I right in thinking that the 3 will still receive updates, and be supported still? I mean, the Mini only has an A5 chip, and it's only just come out, so am guessing that will be supported for the next couple of years, so the iPad 3 should as well, if not longer? Or, because it's been wiped from the site has Apple just finished with it and aren't acknowledging it's existence anymore so it can concentrate on the 'New New' iPad?

Also, I know that the 4th gen iPad is 'twice as fast' as the current iPad 3, but how long do you reckon it will be before apps will start to struggle on the current iPad? These are the things bothering me most because I've had my iPad for like two months and, at the moment, am struggling to see it as a worthy investment IF it stops getting support and apps stop running on it.
