iPad 3 and magazines?

So I'm mainly using my iPad 2 to read magazines from the Newsstand app. I really want to upgrade to the iPad 3 for the retina display. My question for you Gus is how well do the magazines scale up to the retina display? I know newer issues may not be a problem, but what about older issues that came out before the iPad 3?
