I bought the new iPad the day it was released, an AT&T model.
I originally set it up as a post paid account so I can add it to my bill.
When I got my iPhone 5, I switched over to a post paid account since I was going to use my iPhone 5 as hotspot.
I went to an AT&T store and switched out the sim card in the iPad.
Now when I have cellular on the iPad, it says no service.
On my iPad 2, which was Verizon, it never said that.
I would think it would have to have basic service in case you needed to turn it on if you are in a location without WiFi.
Is that correct?
Did the store give me a non functioning sim?
