I saw a benchmark where the iPad 3 had half the battery life of the iPad 2 when watching videos.

Can anyone who has both an iPad 2 and iPad 3 confirm this?

Battery life is about 6-7 hours on video. iPad 2 is about the same with maybe an extra 30mins to 1hr depending on background apps. There is more stuff going on in the background of the 2012 iPad so the loss of only about 30mins to 1hr I think is acceptable.

While I've not timed it, in casual use (watching videos on airplane flights), I cannot tell a difference.

The iPad 2 was doing 10-11 hours in the test they did. So 6-7 hours is normal ( they got a similar usage in that test )?
