Mine has changed to shipped within an hour of my noticing it was processing. Tracking unavailable yet, but i have still not received any email from Apple confirming anything from order to shipment... Not too bothered as long as my new toy is in my hands on Friday..
Pre-ordered mine a few hours after the announcement on the 7th and it still hasn't shipped, oh well, I'm not worried.
There's is almost a couple thousand posts in the primary iPad shipment thread right now, but yours is already in your home town? Snap. Mine's still wandering around China with everybody else's.
Mine too. I ordered around 4pm on the 7th. Still says in process and due on the 16th.
Not me. Mine's been "Processing" since I completed the order (Wednesday 8pm ET).
My Apple Care purchase is listed as "completed" though, so I guess they shipped that ;-)

Just got a text from AppleStore, ipad 32 gb black shipped, expect delivery on or before 16th, tracked it and it shows it at UPS depot in Gateshead on 10th March

I don't know who they picked to be first, nor have I stated I will be first, nor do I particularly care. If my local delivery service from UPS is anything to go by, it will probably be about 4pm before it turns up, I likely will not be in, so it will be the following day before I can pick it up. However I do know that I can read....
UPS & FEDEX are contracted by Apple to hold the packages for "future delivery" at your local depot until the 16th. However it is very possible some might "slip through the cracks" and end up on the truck (UPS doesn't always read the instructions on the box). Even if it arrives at your local depot today don't expect to get it until Friday. But ya' never know. Good luck!
the one I ordered says its a few towns over already! which is about 1.5 hours driving distance away from me! if it was upto me I'd go over there and pick it up right now
That blows, would have been nice to get it a little early. What else am I going to do until then? I have to sit here in my own filth.

Even though, on RARE occasions UPS and FedEx slips up, Apple would be VERY unhappy them.

Mine says preparing for shipment. I talked to someone from apple and they told me it was going to be at my house on the 16, it better!
I'd just like to say that some people did receive their iPhone 4S early (accident) and with the iPhone 4, Apple actually emailed people and said it would come a day early... so there is a glimmer of hope.
