Hey guys, my dad owns an iPad 3 (not jailbroken) on iOS 8 (not 8.1, 16gb) and it has been malfunctioning lately with iOS 8. It was working fine before. Setting wallpapers takes over a minute or crashes, countless freezes, and much more. But the most strange thing happened today. I kid you not, a kernel panic. It froze on the home screen and the screen did the animation EXACTLY like a kernel panic and rebooted itself.

Can anyone explain?:(

I have an iPad 3 and would never install iOS 8. That's just a curse waiting to happen. What you might want to try is a hardware reset (home+power button). You could also try a clean install as a last resort but you'll need to backup any important data.
