Hey, I was just wondering if there is a release date for the ipad 3 yet. Also how much do you think roughly the cheapest model with just wifi (no at&t) will be. Thanks

The rumored date I heard was March 3rd.

I would expect the prices to stay the same as they are now.

So i can probably get a new ipad 3 for like $499.99 when they come out !? how much were the ipad 2's when they came out? the cheapest wifi model ..

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

Same.

You know, you never know what Apple is going to come up with.
Maybe, iPad 2 16GB for $399, iPad 3 32GB for $499, iPad 3 64GB for $599, and iPad 3 128GB for $699. This is just my guess.

For right now, all we can do is speculate based on rumors, but the only rumors that's been going around was display leak (with no ways of proving that it is indeed a retina display or high resolution display) and the dock connector and other minor peripherals.

I think the price will be raised slightly by maybe $100 because of the POSSIBLILITY of a Retina display and a maybe a quad-core processor. As the ipad 3 will probably have other minor updates, those probably will be the most significant. So here are the possible price increases:

ipad 16g-$599

ipad 32g-$699

ipad 64g-$799

(then add on the additional $100 if you get the wifi model)

If Apple follows the past time line then I'm expecting an announcement on March 7 with availability on the 17th. Looks to be retina display and a quad core A6. Anything else is just speculation.
Is it too soon to start the What will the iPad4 have?
or Should I buy an iPad3 or wait for the iPad4? :p

As soon as a release date is posted and as soon as a price point is posted and as soon as the event and its date is posted by Apple, MacRumors Front Page will be updated. Your best bet is to just keep checking that.

They ALL have WiFi. The 3G units cost more. I would never buy without 3G. It has save me a few times.

Dude, didn't you hear? Apple rediscovered the luminiferous aether and will now be sending all their signals through it, at faster speeds. So they'll be dropping the WiFi chipsets. ;)
