Anyone think iPad 3 will be out this year ... I want to buy my dad an iPad later this year ... Will they launch it in the fall ??

What specs would you like to see in it ?? I think retina display or something close is a must

Unlikely. There's no point for Apple to launch iPad 3 so soon, while iPad 2s are completely selling out and the competition is virtually non-existent. They may, however, launch iPad 3 in less than a year after iPad 2, perhaps right after CES 2012 (mid January 2012), but that's just me speculating
