iPad 3 + Smart Cover problem

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if this is how the smart cover operates but I was wondering if when I have my smart cover open (facing the back of the iPad), it should also be stuck against the back with the magnets.

Mine doesn't get stuck against the back of the iPad.

Is it defective?

No, yours is fine, it shouldn't be sticking to the back.
