I owned Ipad 1, 2 and went to the third.
I found the third to be a let down. The retina is good but the Ipad 2 screen is perfectly good. Used the 5mp camera but not much. Been very few games that took advantage of the new processor.
I usually update my products went from the 4 to 4S to Iphone 5.
But is there any point in me buying the New Ipad? Siri is faster on the Iphone 5 that's about all I'd notice and Facetime HD just looks the same to me on Iphone 5? For me to update I'd want a shiny/glossy back like the Ipad mini, thinner so it's back in line with Ipad 2, extended battery life, maybe improved speakers and microphones. Definitely some new apps to take advantage of the A6 but nothing like that..
Has to be said but it's just an Ipad really, there's not much new. I'm usually supportive of Apple but this is a great chance for a rival tablet to offer something different, new. Apple have done nothing but bring the Ipad 3 in line with the Iphone 5. Yet they were happy to have Siri on Iphone 4S and not Ipad until later last year?
Forget discounts, maybe Apple should go further and recall all these Ipad 3's and put a lightning connector on them or something and new processor? Unless you are a customer looking to buy a new Ipad for £399 in a shop there's no point in getting the 4th model. Ipad 1 owners can upgrade to a 2/3 for cheaper.
I'm not a mac user but usually even with Windows they churn out constant updates of machines and there's little new to care about. No wonder Ipad 4 is taking the back seat. Perhaps Apple should come back in 2014 and give us something new? We all know the next Ipad conference will just be wow update to retina on the mini, maybe 8mp Ipad camera, A7 and slim like Ipad 2.
Ipad 3 was big news, Ipad 4 taking a back seat is how Apple is going profit profit the only news is a smaller model.
