iPad 3 wifi icon in task bar suddenly blinks...

It started today and I've never had the issue before. The icon blinks off for a half second and reappears. It does this about once per 20-30 seconds. I did a hard reset, reset network settings, restarted, problem still there. I haven't reset the modem yet because my gf is doing work from home at the moment, but that's my next step. I saw the issue on Apple's boards, but no resolution. I have the latest software update.

Any thoughts?

Update: And now I just got a prompt to select my wireless network, to which I'm already connected.

Could your Internet connection be fluctuating today? I didn't exactly have the blinking issue, but the other night when my DSL modem was dying (as it turned out), I had similar issues.

I just noticed I was also having the issue on my iPhone as well. I reset my modem and router and haven't noticed the issue occur in the 5 minutes since. Not sure why it happened, but hopefully that was it.
