Hello,
So, I have had this problem for over six months. Basically, my Wifi on my iPad is slow, nearly twice as slow as my iPhone and MacBook. This is a problem because it makes my iPad useless in my dorm room as it will sometimes drop the connection. Things I have tried are:
Restore and set up as new
Hard Reset
Reset Network Settings
Turn Wifi On and Off
Connect to 5GHZ or 2.4GHZ (both, same problem)
None of these methods work and do not fix my problem. My roommates 4G Ipad 3 has no problems with Wifi. I have scheduled a meeting with a Genius tomorrow. Unless my Ipad is very close to the router, then its fine. I strongly believe its the iPad. I have used SpeedTest over a hundred times to test and made sure they are on the same server, and tested at the same time.
The only thing I could think of is that the back plating on the 4G Ipad is possible different to allow the cellular service to go through better. But, I could be wrong here.
