Hi, shall I get the iPad 3 when it comes out? I currently have an iPad 1 and an iPhone 3GS; but I want something more up to date.

Thoughts?

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4S: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

Yes, you should.

is this really worthy of a thread? if you want the iPad 3 get if not don't. I don't see why anyone would care or why this needs to be discussed.
Sorry if I see harsh but this is the truth.

Something more up to date? Which need of yours is it that the current setup doesn't fulfil? The iPad 3 is not even out yet, and its specs are not known for certain. Any thoughts about which one(s) of your needs that iPad 3 will fulfil?

iMovie on the iPad, none of my iDevices will run iMovie on... so I'm still unsure on whether to get the current touch or the iPad 3?

If you already have iPhone, an iPod touch will be redundant IMO. If the your current iPad won't run iMovie but iPad 3 will, then you might want to get the iPad 3.

I wouldn't bother. The world will end before the iPad3 comes out.

This thread == yet another fail.
