Ipad 3G: att data alternative?

Hey,

i have an ipad 2 with 3g... i was wondering if there are any alternatives for 3g data I could use other then att... swap out the sim card?

20$ seems too much to spend for 2gigs of data... if only the data 'rolled over'....

The iPad is locked to AT&T.

You purchased an AT&T 3G model and that's the plan you have to use.

If you have data left over at the end of the 30 days, buy the 250MB plan for $15.

Where do you think you'll find cheaper data? With the device locked you'd have to use something like a MiFi.

Tether it to a Virgin Mobile Broadband 2 Go hotspot and get 500MB data for $20 per month. Or, tether it to a Virgin Mobile phone and get unlimited data for $35 per month.

Data for i-pad2 and alternative tablets data

This sounds like a good deal for data considering the I-phones charge 35.00 for data and that is for a phone. Also I was curious if anybody knew if the kindle tablet fire or any of the other android tablets charge per month or require extra data?
